Standard Book Size
BRAVELY SECOND Design Works 2013 – 2015 is a paperback book. It has 255 pages, and the size of it is 29.6 x21.2 x2.4 cm.
Contents
Every word in this art book was written in Japanese. The contents are divided into three parts, ‘Bravely Second’, ‘Bravely Archive’ and ‘Special Gallery’. The main attraction this art book is ‘characters’, since half of art works of this book are about them. I already mentioned that Akihiko Yoshida was the lead artist, but also many other artists participated in this art book. For instance Hideki Ishikawa, Makoto Tsuchibayashi, Okubo Atsushi, abec, yokoyan, and Take did participate in this art book. Most of the art works are SD, since the characters of the game were designed as an SD style. You can enjoy the unique styles of art works of each of artists.
BRAVELY ARCHIVE AND SPECIAL GALLERY
The second part ‘Bravely Archive’ contains the art works about Bravely Archive: D’s Report, which was released for Android/iOS game, and this part might be looked like an appendix, since this part has a few pages comparing with the first part. You might consider it as a bonus since the design of characters is pretty different from Bravely Second.
Special Gallery part is also like the extra content of Bravely Second.
Concluding the review
An attractive thing that this art book has is that you can appreciate many different styles of SD art works of each of artists including Akihiko Yoshida, who was the lead artist. If you have plenty of money, I would recommend you to purchase the both of this and the prequel, but
