I believe that some of you who are interested in Japanese illustrations might know about art works of the artist ‘toi8’. He is renowned artist, since he has been doing his activities in many fields like illustrations, games, and animes. What I’m going to review this time is his second art book. Mentioning briefly, after a few times from this art book was published, toi8 Art Works – The Recollection City (Strange Report) was published, which is a sequel of it, but I’m only going to review the toi8 Art Works-The Recollection City for this time.

toi8 Art Works – The Recollection City is a paperback book. It has 112 pages, and the size of it is 25.6 x 18 x 1.6 cm.
Contents
Every word in this art book is Japanese. This art book contains both novel illustrations, and game illustrations, but the latter one has more of pages than the former one. There are 2 pages of comments of the author and sketches of background. Each of illustrations shows its date, and some them has comments so you can appreciate the art works pleasantly. All of his art works are digital drawings, and each of them has the unique color sense that you can tell these art works are illustrated by toi8 at a glance. But it was a little bit shame that this art book didn’t have many pages that I had a feeling that without toi8 Art Works – The Recollection City (Strange Report) it’s just llike an appendix, even it’s his second art book after the long-term of rest.
Concluding the Review
The publishing of this art book might be great news for fans of toi8, since it was published after the long-term of rest. But you might not get the feeling that you have his second art book if you don’t purchase both toi8 Art Works – The Recollection City and toi8 Art Works – The Recollection City (Strange Report).
