The Review of CFSL.NET Artbook 06 by Café Salé
CFSL.NET Artbook is a series of artbooks, which contains artworks of artists who are the members of French online art community website, ‘CFSL.NET’. This series used to be published by CFSL.NET, but now it’s published by CFSL.INK. So far the seventh volume of the series has been released, and I cannot guarantee when the eighth volume of the series would be published, so we’d better wait for the news of it.
Standard Book Size
CFSL.NET Artbook 06 is a paperback book. It has 304 pages and the size of it is 24.5 x 28.7 x 2.2 cm.
Language & Contents
It was written in both French and English, and there are only a few words that are important. The chapters of this artbook are as same as the existing artbooks of the CFSL.NET series, ‘Scene’, ‘Character’ and ‘Miscellaneous’. At the start of each of chapters, there’s a comment of the author written in both French and English in one page for each language, and at the end of the book, there’s a list of participating artists in alphabetical order and email addresses and personal website addresses of each of them.
Scene
This chapter mainly features the artworks of ‘directed scene’. Although there are some artworks of characters, most of the artworks in this chapter are about ‘scene’. There are many digital drawings, and at the bottom of the each of artworks, you can see the title of it, a name of drawing program, and a date of it.
Character
This chapter mainly covers the artworks of characters. Since this chapter contains the most of the artworks, you can enjoy plenty of different styles of artworks.
Miscellaneous
This chapter consists of different types of artworks from the other two chapters. This chapter has the least of the artworks, and both the material and the direction of the artworks in this chapter are pretty abstract.
Concluding the review
Today I’ve reviewed the CFSL.NET Artbook 06. This artbook has the same categories of the existing artbooks of the series, and it mainly contains the artworks of characters, so if you want to find some good reference to create some characters, this artbook might be the answer. But on the other hand, if you don’t have an intention to collect this series, you might not have to purchase the whole series since the sixth volume shows the same categories of the existing artbooks of the series.
Note: Any comments about the grammatical errors, or any other minor errors in the reviews will be welcomed.
