SQ 从你的名字开始
Today’s book for review is a manga named “SQ: Begin W/Your Name!” The author is Tanjiu, who is a well-known Chinese cartoonist, and an illustration artist. ‘SQ: Begin W/Your Name!’ is a volume of ‘SQ’, which is a yuri (Girls’ Love) genre webcomic series currently being written and illustrated by Tanjiu. It looks like the book was published just the same as a way the Korean webcomics artists publish their comics in the volume.
Standard Book Size
‘SQ: Begin W/Your Name!’ is a paperback book. It has 121 pages, and the size of it is 21.5 x 29.2 x 1.3cm.
Contents
This book was written in Chinese, since it was published in China. The table of list consists of eight chapters of comic, postscript of the author, and a special chapter. The contents of the book are just the same as the contents of ‘SQ’, so anyone who already read ‘SQ’ series may consider this book as a collection. On a book cover, there’s an illustration postcard, and a printed poster, which is 36.9x 52cm as an appendix.
Concluding the review
The author of the book is pretty famous in Korea, and many Koreans, who are a fan of ‘SQ’ series currently translating the series to read it. It’s good news for them that the ‘SQ’ series was published in a volume, but the bad news for them is that if they are not only interested in enjoying the comic book illustrations, they have to translate the lines of the book to read it more fun, since it was written in Chinese. I’d be better if publishers had also published the book in other languages the series is currently being translated into Korean though. Bottom line, if you really want to collect this book you have to purchase the Chinese Edition, since publishers don’t have any intention to publish it in other languages so far.
P.S: I happened to know this book, since the author was introduced in “Nineteen Days in World, so I was curious to read his other comic. Before I read this book, I hadn’t known about the Yuri genre, since this word is usually being used by women, but thanks to this book now I have learned the new genre.
Note: Any comments about the grammatical errors, or any other minor errors in the reviews will be welcomed.
