Sekaiju No Meikyu Material Art Book Japan Atlus Anime
世界樹の迷宮 公式設定画集
Etrian Odyssey series is a 3D role-playing game, which was developed by Atlus for the Nintendo DS. This official art book contains the art works about Etrian Odyssey 1, and 2, and two artists,’Yuji Himukai’, and ‘Shin Nagasawa’ who were the main artists of the series also participated in this art book.
Standard Book Size
Shin Sekaiju no Meikyu 1 & 2 Visual Setting Material Archive Book Is a paperback book. It has 111 pages, which means that this art book has the fewest pages of all of the official art books of the series, and the size of it is 25.4 x 18.2 x 1cm.
Contents
Every word in this art book was written in Japanese, so some of you who don’t know the Japanese might hesitate to purchase it. However, there are just a few words, which are not essential to know so you don’t need to worry about struggling with the foreign language. Although this art book contains the art works about both two installments of the series, contents are just divided into five parts without dividing the contents of the prequel and the sequel minutely. The contents are divided into ‘Public Illustration’, ‘Class and NPC’, ‘Creature’, ‘Art setting’, and ‘Special Illustration’, which are pretty similar to the contents of the other official arts of the series. Since this art book has only 111 pages, so the authors drew art works in a small size in this art book for each of pages as many as possible, and also wrote two specific words like ‘SQ1’ and ‘SQ2’ next to art works, and titles of them to help readers to discriminate which of art works are of the prequel, or the sequel.
Concluding the Review
The first thing that I did after purchasing this art book was to compare this art book with other art books of the series especially the Etrian Odyssey Untold 1 + 2: pictures of the official artbook, since it was the very first official art book of the series. I concluded that this art book is a good art book, since it has a reasonable price, and many art works though it has the fewest pages comparing with the other art books of the series. But it would have been better if it had more art works in a larger size instead of containing them in the art book in a small size. Let’s just satisfy the fact that we can still enjoy many art works of two installments of the series.
